Instructions

Making Samosas requires a few steps. The first of which is creating the filling.

STEP ONE:

1) In a pot, heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil at medium to high heat
2) Add the fenugreek, cumin, onions and turmeric, and let it turn a golden brown colour, continually stirring
3) Once the mixture has browned, add the crushed garlic, ginger, and chillies with a half cup of water
4) Reduce heat to medium and mix in potatoes and mixed vegetables. Stir, and make sure the fillings are nicely coated with the spice mix
5) Cover the pot with a lid and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes, occasionally stirring so it doesn`t burn
6) Once the potatoes are soft, the mixture is ready to use. At this point, you can mix in the cilantro
7) Pour contents into a bowl

STEP TWO:

1) Open the wrapping paper and fold in half
2) Make a cone shape with the filling
3) Place 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of the filling inside the cone
4) Seal the edges with some water making a triangular shape
5) The samosas are now ready to cook

STEP THREE:

1) Heat a half a litre of cooking oil in a frypan or wok
2) Deep fry the samosas for about 45 seconds per side, over medium-high heat until golden brown
3) Plate and serve
