Yoga Pose of the Week: Try the Stimulating Plough Pose!
“Yoga is not a religion. It is a science, science of well-being, science of youthfulness, science of integrating body, mind and soul.” - Amit Ray
Start your morning routine with the body stimulating Plough Pose also known as Halasana. Not only does this position help relieve gas and back pain, it is a great way to help insomnia, infertility, cramps, fatigue, headaches and sinusitis.
The Plough Pose position is a relaxing way to relieve stress, while promoting flexibility and comfort through the mind and body. While stimulating the thyroid gland and strengthening the kidneys, liver, gallbladder and the immune system, the Plough Pose is very useful to calm the digestive and nervous system.
Pregnant women should avoid practicing the Halasana pose during pregnancy and if you have neck injuries or if you are suffering from diarrhea and high blood pressure. Consult a doctor before practicing the Halasana pose if you have recently suffered from chronic diseases or spinal disorders.
